"Our grand business in life is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand." ~Thomas Carlyle

Chic Chick is a combination of opposites; a bit of a wabi-sabi take on life, artistic urges and the feathering of one's nest. Why seek perfection when you can seek fulfillment and enjoyment? Combining sparkly new and old and well-worn just feels right. Writing, altered art, poetry, nature, alternative medicine, christianity, funky purses, and LIFE are just a few of the topics to ponder.... If you want to see what I've been up to creatively, stop by http://chicchickbiz.etsy.com

It is fabulous...Here is one of my favorite quotes:
The splender of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of its scent nor the daisy of its simple charm. If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness. -Therese of Lisieux

Thanks Pam-Pam! That's a beautiful quote and one I haven't heard before...
Next?
So hard to pick just one! (which is why I include an inspirational quote with each of my blog posts). But I guess I'd say this one:
"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer." (Rainer Maria Rilke)
That's a beautiful one Heidi, thanks for sharing it! Another quote I had never heard...Maybe I'll have enough to fill a book by the time we are done! :)
Another???
That's a great one, Deb! Thanks for posting, your compliment and also for the giveaway idea! This is fun! :)
